Thank you for being a key part of the TaskEasy team. We value your participation and want to update you about some of our plans for the upcoming season.

COVID-19 is a big topic right now, and like many companies we are taking steps to ensure we can continue to operate safely and effectively through the season. We know that TaskEasy jobs are an important source of income for our contractors, and we are working hard to continue to provide consistent work to you while ensuring the health and safety of the entire team.

    1. Fortunately, lawn mowing and yard care, particularly when dispatched through the TaskEasy contractor app, requires minimal in-person contact in the field beyond individual contractor teams, which minimizes any chances of community transmission while performing work.

    2. We are already ensuring that all headquarters employees have the ability to work from home if needed so we can continue to manage the business and respond to your questions and requests. Even if there are restrictions on working in an office environment or if team members need to stay home to work and watch kids if schools are closed, we have taken measures to make sure we can keep answering the phone and keep jobs and contractor payments flowing.

    3. Like most companies, we have held office trainings on how to minimize potential transmission in our operations centers. We are also taking extra cleaning steps, and providing extra sanitation materials in locations throughout each office.

    4. If you do need to stay home sick to recover, whether from a cold, flu or any virus, just let your TaskEasy Advocate know and we can temporarily pause your contractor account while you recover. Just let us know when you are feeling ready to work again, and we’ll get jobs flowing to you again!

Aside from COVID-19, we’re excited about the upcoming season and some enhancements to our systems and technology to make things even better for our contractors and customers.

    Route Optimization

TaskEasy has been testing a new job assignment technology that optimizes contractor routes each day to reduce drive time for participating contractors. The tests show a doubling of contractor efficiency as measured by revenue per mile and a big reduction in calls about late and missed jobs. The best part is participating contractors have told us they love the new approach. We are now rolling it out across the country, and we expect to have over 80% of all jobs running through route optimization before the end of April.

    Contractor App Update

We have also been field-testing a significant update to the TaskEasy Contractor App that we expect to roll-out to all contractors in the April/May time-frame. Rebuilt over the winter from the ground up for stability and ease-of-use, the app incorporates many suggestions from contractors in the field, and it includes better support for route optimization, photo uploads, instant messaging and more. Be on the lookout for more communications on this shortly.

New Contractor Email and Chat Management

About a month ago, we rolled out a brand new ticketing platform to help our Advocates better support you. You may have already noticed faster response times and more consistent responses - we know our Advocates have loved using the new tools. Watch for increased ability to instantly chat with us as we roll out more of the messaging features through the season.

Thank you again for what you do. It’s only with your participation that we’re able to continue creating jobs and serving customers in over 12,000 cities across all 50 states, and we’re committed to growing your business and our business together. Stay safe, and best wishes for the upcoming season!
