TaskEasy Commitment to and Approach on
Diversity & Inclusion

TaskEasy believes that diversity of all types is what makes companies successful. We recognize that building and honoring diversity in a company requires proactive efforts.

We are committed to:

  1. taking action on recruiting and retaining diverse employees,
  2. creating awareness of diversity issues,
  3. supporting a positive environment where inclusive behaviors are the standard, and
  4. measuring progress on diversity goals.

TaskEasy serves a very diverse customer set, and our large network of contractors across the country includes a very wide range of backgrounds, races, nationalities and experiences.  Building, supporting and actively listening to a diverse employee base is not only the right thing to do, it helps guide TaskEasy to success with a wider range of customers and suppliers in ways that a less diverse company could not accomplish.  While the TaskEasy team is already more diverse at all levels of the company than a large majority of Utah-based companies, there are always opportunities to improve and we will seek those out.

First, as included in our employee handbook and our hiring materials, it is our intent to maintain a work environment which is free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation because of age, race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), physical or mental disability, genetic information (including testing and characteristics), veteran status, uniformed service member status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local laws.  But more than just preventing negative discrimination, it is our intent to operate with hiring and company management practices that proactively include team members from a wide range of backgrounds and ensure that all are welcomed and treated equitably.

To help with efforts in the 4 areas listed above, we plan to follow guidelines proposed by the Racial Equity Playbook (a website created by the Stanford GSB Class of 1994), which includes practical steps companies can take along with recommendations on how to evaluate progress.  TaskEasy will work through each of the Playbooks, and both internally and externally publish reports on our progress, including any steps we have already taken or still plan to take to support these goals.

True to our core values “Be Uniquely You” and “Be Excellent to One Another”, TaskEasy has already created a unique and special culture that is welcoming to diversity at all levels.  This statement reaffirms our commitment to our employees, customers and suppliers to treat everyone fairly and with respect in all aspects of our business operations.

Our Values

Seek Simplicity

At TaskEasy, we strive to make things simpler for our customers and internal partners in all we do; whether chatting with a customer, building a new feature, or iterating on our current processes.

Be Excellent to One Another

We respect other's thoughts, opinions, decisions, and assume positive intent. We embrace spirited debate but de-escalate with kindness. We are open to giving and receiving feedback as a means to help one another.

Evolve & Adapt

We are agile and embrace change. We view mistakes as learning opportunities to grow and evolve. We often look outside of our normal processes for the best solutions.

Be Uniquely You

We actively create an environment where everyone can bring their unique self to all they do. We believe that diversity of all types is what makes companies successful. We actively seek out differing opinions and perspectives.

Make a Difference Every Day

We understand that each role makes a significant impact on TaskEasy, which pushes us every day to do great work. We proactively seek out opportunities to help outside our specialty and collaborate cross-functionally. We are not afraid to get our hands dirty; when there is work to be done, we do it.
