TaskEasy Coronavirus Update Center

TaskEasy has partnered with Cub Cadet to offer free lawn care to first responders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Backed by a $200,000 donation from Cub Cadet – doctors, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, and firefighters can order one month of lawn care services provided by TaskEasy.

TaskEasy is managing this program with donated funds going directly towards paying independent contractors for their work mowing the lawns of first responders, doctors, and nurses. Additional donations can be made through TaskEasy's GoFundMe campaign. 100% of donation proceeds will go towards expanding the number of frontline responders across the country.

These workers can simply request service at TaskEasy’s website with a photo of their workplace badge for verification, and TaskEasy will confirm eligibility and dispatch the work to one of the 15,000 independent contractors in 12,000 cities across the US. TaskEasy can start mowing within days of an eligible service request.

First responders can apply here, program runs through June 30th, 2020.

TaskEasy is currently providing yard care, snow removal and cleaning services in over 12,000 cities in the US. Our first priority is the health and safety of our entire ecosystem, including customers, contractors and our direct team members. This page provides information on how we are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, including:

Essential Services Authorization

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced Saturday, March 28, that landscaping and lawn care are included in an advisory list of functions critical to public health and safety, and are to be continued during work at home orders. In the advisory “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce” list published by CISA, landscapers are considered an essential support service necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and operation of residences and essential businesses.

Online Management of Services

Over the last six years, TaskEasy has developed a fully online solution for ordering, dispatching and monitoring performance of a wide range of maintenance tasks. Customers can price, order and manage yard care and cleaning services without in-person contact using TaskEasy’s website and large customer APIs, and our technology enables broad distribution of that work to individual contractors without any in-person contact. Participating contractors use TaskEasy’s contractor mobile app to learn about the specifics of task requirements and supply proof of task completion with before & after photos captured in the app.  Because our management systems are all cloud-based, TaskEasy has already successfully migrated all of our central office employees to working from home, maintaining our normal service levels through the transition. That said - you may hear occasional kids playing or dogs barking in the background when you call us these days.

We know many property owners and managers have had their operations impacted by COVID-19, and we are ready to assist anyone who may need extra help with mowing, yard care, or cleaning (vacant homes only) at their property or properties.

Independent Contractor Network

TaskEasy’s contractor network is made up of over 15,000 screened and insured contractor businesses, most with multiple employees, that represent in total tens of thousands of workers across all 50 states.   Our contractors are hard-working small businesses that rely on TaskEasy jobs to support their income as they work to provide essential services keeping properties safe and sanitary. Our interaction with contractors is primarily through the TaskEasy contractor app, with occasional phone calls, emails and text messages as needed.  Landscapers don’t often interact with other people as they are performing their maintenance work, and they know to maintain appropriate social distancing measures on the rare occasions when they do encounter someone.

COVID-19 Sanitizing Services

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TaskEasy developed two offerings to help property management businesses and government agencies take on critical virus cleaning and sanitizing work across the country.  We are already providing specialized cleaning services for vacant homes for several of our large customers, and we are prepared to assist federal, state and local agencies with sanitization and cleaning of surfaces in public areas such as parks, benches, public transportation areas, payment kiosks, ATMs – any surfaces that multiple people frequently touch.  More information on these options:
