Rescheduling is the process of moving a job from its originally scheduled date to a future one for any given reason. Rescheduling should be avoided as much as possible, but we understand that there are situations where it is unavoidable. In this article, we will be going over when it is appropriate to reschedule a job, optimal reschedule days, reschedule options and how to reschedule in the app.
Reasons To Reschedule
You should avoid rescheduling jobs as much as possible to limit customers canceling, and jobs being removed from your schedule. However, if you have to reschedule, make sure it is for one of the reasons below and it is properly notated in the task.
- The job is scheduled on a holiday
- Weather is preventing service
- Family emergency
- Equipment malfunction
- Customer request
- Route optimization
- Waiting on bid approval
Any other reason for a reschedule will be evaluated on a case by case basis and the job may be removed from your schedule if your reschedules become a pattern.
Optimal Reschedule Days
While rescheduling should be the last option, we have created optimal reschedule days. Optimal reschedule days
This will limit the number of customer cancels and prevent unnecessary reschedules. The green check represents the days the job should be rescheduled for, the yellow caution means you should reconsider if possible, and the red mark means the job cannot be scheduled this far in advance.
Reschedule and move all - this option will reschedule the job to your newly selected date and move all future services. For example, if you move the job to Friday, all of your future services will be on Friday as well. This is best used if you are optimizing your route or if you want to continue service on a specific date going forward.
Confirm this reschedule date - this option simply moves the job to your newly scheduled

Using your finger, scroll to the bottom of the task details and tap “reschedule”
Look at the reschedule view for an optimal reschedule day
Tap on the date you’d like to reschedule the job
Choose your rescheduling option
Tap the reschedule reason
Write a quick comment as to why you’re rescheduling and tap “Next”
Tap “Save” or “Cancel” to restart the process
