There may be times when you arrive at a property that has access issues preventing you from servicing. This can be due to the property being located in a gated community, the back gate may be locked or the backyard can only be accessed from the garage or inside the house. If you run into any of these situations, follow these simple steps to resolve the issue.

Backyard Is Locked 

Backyard Is Only Accessible Through The House or Garage

Gated Community

  1. Open the TaskEasy for Contractors App

  2. Select the task you are having access issues with

  3. Click on “Problem With This Property”

  4. Select “ I Can’t Access This property”

  5. In the comment section state that this property is in a gated community

  6. Add a photo of the gates

  7. Click “Submit”

After you submit your response, someone from TaskEasy will get in contact with the customer to get you access to the property. In the meantime, reschedule this job and move on to your next property. We will notify you when we get you access from the customer

Backyard Is Locked

  1. Open the TaskEasy for Contractors App

  2. Take photos of the lock preventing access and upload it to the task

  3. Assess the property and determine if you can still complete the service in the front yard

  4. Call the on-site queue at (800) 518-4461 to speak with an advocate

  5. Suggest completing the scope of work in the front yard

  6. The TaskEasy contractor advocate will either approve your request to complete the front yard OR reschedule the job until we get access to the backyard from the customer.

  7. If approved, complete the scope of work as outlined by the contractor advocate

Upon informing us of a locked gate, we will contact the customer to either remove the lock or make sure it is unlocked on the next scheduled occurrence. If the lock is still preventing service on the next occurrence repeat steps 1-7.

Backyard Is Only Accessible Through The House Or Garage

  1. Open the TaskEasy for Contractors App

  2. Take photos of the property showing there is no access from the outside (this may mean you have to take multiple photos of the fence line)

  3. Assess the property and determine if you can still complete the service in the front yard

  4. Call the on-site queue at (800) 518-4461 to speak with an advocate

  5. Suggest completing the scope of work in the front yard

  6. The TaskEasy contractor advocate will either approve your request to complete the front yard OR reschedule the job until we get access to the backyard from the customer.

  7. If approved, complete the scope of work as outlined by the contractor advocate

Upon informing us that the backyard is inaccessible, we will contact the customer to either give you access through the garage or home. If this situation is not resolved by your next occurrence repeat steps 1-7.
