What is the Initial? Scope, pricing and expectations

Initial jobs provide TaskEasy contractors with a high-paying task but performing Initial cleanup services come with higher expectations. Here you will learn what the Initial is, the value of an Initial job, and understand the scope of work that is required for an Initial to be considered complete.

initial scope, pricing and expectations - TaskEasy Blog

What is considered to be an Initial job?

TaskEasy is now offering larger, higher scope Initial services to meet the demands of our customers. The scope of this service is designed to restore their vacant (or neglected) properties to a prime condition by allowing contractors to spend the time necessary to bring properties back to an easily manageable condition. For contractors, these jobs entail a larger scope of work and more money–but contractors must pay careful attention to the details in order to receive full payment on these high-value, high-effort jobs.

Why is the Initial service so important?

Initial services provide contractors with a significantly higher priced task and make recurring services easier and faster to service due to the larger scope of work being completed the first time around.

As a result, the Initial job being executed to not only meet the full scope of work but also to meet the highest quality standards helps clients feel confident in TaskEasy to take on more of their portfolios. This means more properties to be serviced by TaskEasy crews and more work for TaskEasy contractors. This allows for a win-win situation for TaskEasy, contractors, and clients.

What is the scope of work for an Initial job?

1. Mow

Mowing up to 12″ of grass growth including mulching or disposal of grass clippings.

2. Debris Removal

Removal of general service related debris from hardscape and landscape, and incidental debris (leaves/pine needles, sticks/branches, newspapers, flyers, bottles, etc.)

3. Bush Trimming

Trimming bushes, shrubs, and plants less than 8 feet in height to a minimum of 18 inches away from structures and back 4 inches from all walkways.

4. Tree Trimming

Trimming trees less than 8 feet tall to a minimum of 18 inches away from structures and back 4 inches from all walkways.

5. Trim

Trimming along all standing structures.

6. Front Trees

Front view trees to be trimmed up 6 ft from the ground.

7. Front View Curb Appeal

Removal of dead plants, small bushes and ornamental trees less than 8 feet in height. The Initial haul away is also included in this price. This does NOT including stump grinding/removal. **If removal of dead plants, small bushes, and small ornamental trees is not needed, please be sure to ALWAYS include supporting photos in the required photo section of the assigned job. This will lessen the chance of rejection due to photo validation needed.**

8. Edge

Edging along walkways, sidewalks, and driveways.

9. Weed Removal

Removal and spraying of weeds in flower beds and paved areas. If weeds are left after being sprayed, please be aware that this will be rejected due to incomplete work.

10. Sprinkler System Inspection

Inspection of irrigation systems, timers, valves, irrigation lines, and heads. This is subject to unit access and active water and related utilities. Some clients include repair, so read task instructions carefully.

Please note: If working during an Initial and you feel additional funds may be required, be sure to include all photos supporting the purpose of fund increase and call TE. Initial work is a VERY important scope to complete. Photos will validate your work and confirm completion.
